Where do you live
What attracted you to Cycling Sheffield
The opportunity to race the biggest races in the UK and the potential for foreign races. Also, riding for a team that represents my home city.
Aims for 2021
To gain experience in the big UK races like the prems, maybe get a result and to get my hands in the air at least once.
I had a red Trek Jet with stabilisers when I was 3 and it had something like 12 inch wheels.
Earliest cycling hero
Probably Niki Terpstra after his 2018 Flanders win because I only started watching cycling properly when I gave racing a proper go which was also 2018.
First race you watched
I think it was the 2010 Tour de France when Andy Schleck dropped his chain and Contador took the lead. The first race I watched in person was the 2014 Tour stage 2 when it came to Sheffield and then we went to France and saw it twice, close to where we were staying.
The first race I rode
A White Rose Youth League race in 2016 at Forge Valley, got lapped and pulled out a lap early.
Favourite race to watch
Tour of Flanders because I think it has the most exciting racing, although the Tour de France this year was crazy.
Fondest cycling memory
The last team camp I had with Team JRC in 2019. Said goodbye and had some leaving presents but all the boys were there so it was a great time.
Favourite place to ride
Definitely the peaks. On my doorstep, the best riding in the country and every road is either up or down.
