New recruit Josh Horsfield made an immediate impact, getting his season off to the perfect start with an impressive victory at the Doncaster Dome criterium. In what proved to be a fast and highly competitive race, Josh showed excellent positioning and composure throughout, staying near the front of the action and responding confidently to the key moves.
As the race built towards its conclusion, the pace lifted and the field lined out ahead of the final sprint. Timing his effort to perfection, Josh launched his sprint in the closing metres and powered clear, taking the win by half a bike length in a tough, hard-fought finish.
It was a confident and assured performance that highlights both his speed and race craft, and an encouraging early result as he settles into his new team environment.
Next up for Josh is the Evesham Vale Road Race in Worcestershire, where he’ll be looking to build on this strong early-season form and continue his winning momentum.
