Sam Barbour won the Scottish Road Champs yesterday.
Sam & James Sawyers made the decisive break with close to 100km to go of the 140km race.
With the 2 of them in the move, we had the numerical advantage. Both Sam & James rode a very smart race, driving & controlling the break, enabling the 2 of them to go to the finish in a group of 5.
James lead Sam out for him the take the win, and James hung on for 2nd.
This national title is a great reward for Sam’s perseverance, after last season was heavily impacted by injury.
