Sportive HQ

Sportive HQ have been established in the UK for the past 15 years, providing cycling events with a passion for diversity and inclusion of all abilities within the scene. Events don’t have to be hard to be challenging, some of the greatest challenges are simply getting out and having a try at something different. Our biggest achievement is helping novice riders to take that first step in starting out in cycling. For this reason we see sportives as an ideal opportunity for cyclists of all abilities to mingle in a safe, welcoming and supportive atmosphere where new and solo riders can meet local cycling clubs and perhaps find a way to take their riding to the next level.

We aim to inspire people to step up for the next challenge, staying motivated with goals to aim for, showing people that anything is attainable with training and dedication to reach the next challenge head on. We have always welcomed riders from any background or ability and aim to inspire anyone to take up cycling. Your first experience with Sportive HQ might be taking part in one of our short 25 / 30 mile rides but in years to come you might be inspired to take on the epic Coast to Coast in a Day or Lands End to John O’Groats, anything is possible and we will support riders all of the way!

As well as doing our own events, we support many charity events every year and many of our own events have a fundraising element to them. In 2024 we are supporting Maggie’s Cancer Support Centres, The Veterans Charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice, The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, The Health Tree Foundation, The Jon Egging Trust and many more.

Sportive HQ also provide cycling holidays and bespoke Corporate Events for people such as Sky Betting & Gaming, Thin Cats Corporate Finance, Gordons LLP, MSL Ltd. and many more, be that single day events or multi-day challenges across big distances. When it comes to cycling challenges, we’ve done them all!

When it comes to supporting the local scene, apart from taking part in local events and time trials, we help out at local Cyclocross events, Cub and Scout Cycling events and anything we can do to help the local cycling scene so the opportunity to sponsor Cycling Sheffield was taken up without question. As a team we very much support the ethos of what Cycling Sheffield is doing in helping to develop a young professional race team giving them opportunity to become professional racers on the international front. Anything we can do to promote the team Sportive HQ is fully behind.

In supporting Sportive HQ you are supporting diversity in cycling and youth cycling development within the region.
