We had a busy weekend with a total of 4 races.

First was The Roy Thame Cup near Milton Keynes, 120km.

The race was eventful, with numerous punctures and crashes due to a very poor road surface. Joe and Dan punctured and Kieran came down in a crash. Only Harry survived unhindered. All the lads rejoined the race after service, but from then on were chasing the race after riders had slipped the bunch whilst we were chasing back on. Joe salvaged 19th place, with the Kieran, Harry and Dan not far behind.

Charley raced at The Darley Moor Circuit race, always a tactically problematic race. Charley was unable to make any attacks stick, eventually finishing 10th.

Sunday we had Charlie and Harry riding The Evesham RR 110km. A tough, fast race which we won in 2017. Again, attacks proved fruitless and with only a team of 2 riders it was difficult to do anything other than follow. Harry finished 12th and Charlie 16th.

The highlight of our weekend was The Outdoor City Magnificent 7 event. This is a mass start event with 7 of Sheffield’s tough climbs. We had Joe and Kieran riding. The 2 of them worked well to take 1st and 3rd place.
