With no team race this week, Joe Clark travelled to Sussex for The Beachy Head Classic ,137km on hilly roads which was part of The Eastbourne Cycling Festival.
Joe made the first selection early in the race, forcing a split after the main climb in the cross wind. After numerous attacks, the lead group was whittled down to seven riders, including riders from Neon Velo and Wiggins.
In the finale Mikey Mottram of Morevelo got the jump on the group and stayed away to take the win. Joe finished 4th.
