Jake had finished 3rd here in 2016, and we were hoping to take the top step on the podium this year.
After numerous attempts by all the riders, Liam escaped in what would become an eight man break comprising of riders from all the strong teams.
The group worked well and with 5km to go they had a two minute gap over the bunch.
Liam took the victory outsprinting an on form Dan Bigham, Brother NRG (recently having won British individual and team pursuit titles).
It was a great result for one of our new riders and the whole team.
