Charlie began his cycling career with Dinnington RC in 2014 as a junior, then moved to The BikeboxAlan team for his final junior year. In 2016 Charlie moved up to senior level with us (racing as Envelopemaster). Charlie had a challenging year adapting to racing at national senior level, but he got stuck in and gained valuable experience
Charlie is the team’s most naturally talented sprinter, and we are sure he’ll become one of the UK’s top sprinters in years to come. Charlie was diagnosed with Celiac disease early in 2017. Through 2017 we worked to prevent this impacting on Charlie’s health and performance. By the last few months of the season we had things in hand. Charlie is now in a position to train well and stay healthy, health being key to consistency.
Charlie is training in Spain Jan – late Feb, before returning to the U.K to begin racing in early March.
