The race was organised as a memorial to Nick Clayton, a young Sheffield cyclist who sadly passed away.

We had a 4 man team entered, but Adam had picked up a bit of illness post Italy, so the team was George, Taylor and Hartley. The team worked well on stage – 1, and George took the win and the the overall lead.

George did a good  stage-2 TT, but was unable to retain the leaders the jersey. George rode very aggressively to try to take back the time needed to win overall. George’s many attacks forced several solid moves away, but all were brought back, and a select group went to the finish together, meaning George wasn’t able to take back the time.

George was 5th on stage-3 and 4th – overall. Taylor and Hartley played great supporting roles in the result, and Hartley finished 12th on stage-3, and 20th – overall.
